BTCCSquare news:

Amina Bank, a fully regulated Swiss crypto bank, has partnered with Deutsche Börse’s Crypto Finance Group to pilot a real-time fiat payment settlement system on Google Cloud’s Universal Ledger. The trial demonstrates 24/7 cross-border transactions while maintaining Swiss regulatory compliance.

The collaboration successfully tested distributed ledger technology (DLT) for institutional payments, including point-of-sale and cross-currency settlements. Participating Swiss banks—unnamed in the announcement—validated the system’s ability to modernize legacy infrastructure without requiring new digital currencies or regulatory overhauls.

Franz Bergmueller, CEO of Amina Bank, emphasized that the pilot proves innovation and financial stability can coexist. The project addresses inefficiencies in global payment systems while adhering to traditional banking security standards.
